TUI
The TUI binary is safeparts-tui. You can also launch it via the CLI: safeparts tui.
When to use the TUI
Section titled “When to use the TUI”- You want to work offline (air-gapped machine).
- You want a guided, interactive workflow.
- You want to save one file per share.
Offline workflow
Section titled “Offline workflow”- Use a machine that is offline (no network).
- Run safeparts-tui.
- Set k, n, and the encoding.
- Split, then save each share to separate media.
- Recover once using k shares to verify the plan.
Key shortcuts
Section titled “Key shortcuts”- Enter: run split/combine
- Ctrl+L: load secret/share file(s)
- Ctrl+S: save (one file per share, or recovered secret)
- Ctrl+C: copy
- Ctrl+Q: quit
- ?: help overlay
